JOB POSTINGS
The Municipal Authority is charged with the maintenance, operation, and expansion of the sanitary sewer system of Cecil Township. The Authority also finances projects to repair, replace or extend sewer lines, usually through the issuance of bonds.
OPEN POSITIONS:
Operations Manager
The Operations Manager must be initiative-taking, able to work independently and capable of operating multiple wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations and conveyance & collection systems throughout Cecil Township. This position will supervise, oversee, and guide the activities of the other field employees and wastewater operators to ensure they are following policies and goals of the Authority in a timely and professional manner. The duties of this position will be performed both in the office and in the field conducting inspections, system wide operation/maintenance and troubleshooting problems that may arise.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a municipal wastewater, pumping station and sanitary sewer construction and maintenance working environment.
• Possession of a valid Class C Sub Classification 1 and a Class E PADEP Wastewater Operator License
• Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License
Wastewater Plant Operator
The Wastewater Plant Operator is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of the treatment facilities and pumping stations owned by the Authority. The individual must be highly motivated and able to work independently and with others. Applicants must successfully pass a criminal background check, employment physical including drug and alcohol screening and possess a valid PA driver's license.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school education or equivalent
• A minimum of two (2) years operational experience
• PADEP Class C-1 and Class E Operator licenses
